THE FINGERPRINT PROJECT 1990 - 2010

Hundreds of paintings and sculptures coming to this section

Garnett's first painting was a Fingerprint Self-Portrait in college.  Over the past several decades the artist has collected thousands of fingerprints from which he creates art objects in a continuing series that explores contemporary identity.  He has painted and sculpted hundreds of Fingerprint Portraits and Totems for his collectors over the years.  The New York Times has called Garnett's Fingerprint Project 'cutting edge art'.

The artist recently installed 312 plexiglass Fingerprint Portraits at the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield.
